Reader Mocks

Here’s a page where Readers can submit their own mock drafts.
Simple rules

Either do a mock based on rounds (1, 2, 3 etc.), or for a team (IE all of Detroit’s picks). Either works.

Write at least a sentence explaining each pick, unless you’re doing a multiple-round mock, then you can stop after the first round. Throwing around names isn’t going to really be worth a whole lot. Explaining why those names make sense, on the other hand, is excellent.

That’s it. If you want to share a mock, send an e-mail HERE. You can submit multiple mocks, but I ask you submit no more than one a week, have some mercy on me.

  3. Yeah, I can fix that if you e-mail it to me.

If the e-mail thing doesn’t work (first time trying to make that myself), e-mail is ksrota at gmail dot com

  4. Oh, the mock looks pretty good. I remember 8 exact hits from who you put down.

IIRC, 24 guys in your first round went in the first round, which is about what Rob Rang gets. So that’s a pretty accurate mock in hindsight.

  5. Thanks man….it’s pretty sad because on my breaks during work I’d make these big draft spreadsheets and whatnot…completely overboard cause I’m not doing it for anyone, just my own amusement. I got a lot of grief on draft day cause I’m sitting there with my papers everywhere goin nuts haha

I’m tellin ya though…this year is a lot harder to pick than last. You had a lot of top players who fit in pretty well with a few specific teams….so I think we all had a pretty good feel of how things were going to go. But this year I think you just have a smear of players with only a few standouts. So I’m pretty unsure this year…I’ll probably get like….1 or 2 right, tops. I wouldn’t be suprised if I completely wiff lol

  6. Would it be completely rediculous if I had Clay Matthews slipping to the Hawk’s second round pick????

I just watched a ton of stuff on him and I want that kid so bad….maybe if we trade down he’d be a realistic target but he is probably going to be long gone before our 2nd pick

    • Wouldn’t be my choice, what I’ve heard is that he lacks instincts and unlike Cushing he didn’t jump off the film at me when I was scouting Maualuga. But he’s very athletic and a hard worker, so that isn’t bad. Not a reach at all, just a guy I’m not wild about.

‘Course, testing for roids isn’t going to help him, so maybe not a good idea given Ruskell’s history.

  7. haha yeah I just read that as of 30 seconds ago…

so much for that. I liked what I saw of him…not a superstar, but a solid player who could be a nice cog in our defense. I thought he would have at least…guess we’ll never know
