  1. Kyle,

Do you have an opinion of Unger? I wonder how he stacks up in comparison to Mack in terms of fitting in to the Seahawks’ needs.

I know he’s less powerful, but the consensus is that he’s just as versatile and has decent athleticism and smarts.

    • Hey, sorry I forgot to respond to your earlier Unger comment.

Truthfully, as a Duck I want to like him. But I’m more than a tad concerned about his flexibility, which is key especially as a 6′5 center. I don’t think I will get time to look at him more closely before the draft, but I remember thinking that his leverage was kind of borderline, and given his lack of power he needs to play with good leverage for his height, not just average leverage. I like the intangibles and the versatility, just not sure he’s athletically what we need at the C position.

  2. Thanks Kyle. No worries on the delay. I didn’t realize Unger was that tall and stiff. But I do recall seeing his name mentioned as a possible right tackle.

I definitely don’t want Alex Stepanovich 2.0. But I do want a center. I sure hope there is some miracle and Alex Mack makes it to us.
